All donations are exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are deductible under section 170 of the Code. All money donations and in-kind donations can be contributed to a specific school, school program, classroom, or to the Mat-Su Schools Foundation sponsored funds or programs.

Give a part of your PFD to MSSF through the Charitable Contributions Program
Mat-Su Schools Foundation is pleased to announce that we are part of the new PFD Charitable Contributions Program. The Alaska Legislature passed a law in 2008 making this new way to give possible for all Alaskans filing for their PFD on-line. We are excited about the opportunity that it provides all Alaskans to give to their favorite nonprofit organizations.By giving through this program, you join others to become an important force in bettering our communities and our state. For those of you who already support MSSF, we appreciate your gifts and hope you will use this option to make an additional donation.
How to Donate Using Your Dividend:
When you go online to sign up for you dividend, you will see the option called " Gift of Giving".1. Click the "Gift of Giving" option
2. Choose the (Statewide) Region
3. Choose (Mat-Su Schools Foundation) name
4. Choose the amount you would like to donate
5. Enter your contact information so we are able to acknowledge you contributed

In-Kind Donations
Call the Foundation President, Linda Conover at 907-232-8517, or email us to make an in-kind donation. In-kind donations are items other than cash, checks, or money orders. Some examples are supplies that could be used in schools, such as paper, crayons, and art items. Computers (almost new), automobiles, office and shop equipment, stocks, real estate, and musical instruments are some other things which are useful to a school.
BP Employee Fabric of America Program
Eligible BP employees can request that BP America make a $250 or $500 contribution to an organization of their choice, and no matching is required on their part. Consider giving to the Mat-Su Schools Foundation. BP employees can go to the company's intranet site to request a no-matching contribution and for more information on BP's employee matching and Fabric of America programs. More information.
Also, BP provides matching grants – up to $5,000 per employee per year – in recognition of their donations, volunteer time and participation in sponsored pledge events.
